Lieber Familie!
I can't belive it's already been 1 week. Each individual day is so packed and we're learning so much that each day feels like mutiple days, but the week has gone by pretty quickly.
My companion Sister Schwantes is awesome! She and I get along very well. She also enjoys working out so we get up every morning at 6 for a sisters only gym class and then we go running after. I'm greatful she is willing to run with me. There are 4 other sister/ 2 other compaionships in my room: Sister Knect, Sister Stuart, Sister Shelley and Sister Rasmussen and we are all headed to Germany Berlin! I love these sisters so much. We all work hard, laugh hard and smile almost all the time. There are only 2 companionships in my district: Sister Schwantes and myself and Elder Thorley and Elder Karpowitz. It's fun, we're kinda like a little family. Sister Covey and Brother Ott are our teachers. Sister Covey served in the Alpine German Speaking mission and Brother Ott served in the Germany Berlin mission. He is so excited to have our whole district headed to Berlin. We have been teaching an investigator named Herr Langmesser. I believe things are going well...haha it's hard to understand most of what he says, but we're trying to build up a good relationship with him and we try to listen to the Spirit as we teach. The language is hard, but I know I'll get it. Some days it's hard to get discouraged so Sister Schwantes and I are trying hard to smile more to stay positive and keep the Spirit with us.
We learn so much each day I'm not sure how much is sticking. So you can tell Talia I still talk in my sleep (you should look up why I do that and how to get over it) anywho enough German must be sticking because I am now sleep talking auf Deutsch! I wish I could share all I'm learning! It's so exciting but I just don't have enough time to write it all. Yesterday Elder Robert C. Gay was the speaker at our Tuesday night devotional. There were so many of us that we have to go down to the Marriott Center. By the way I am on the main campus, but I have heard rumors that at 3 weeks my branch will move to the west campus. I hope not, but we'll see. On Sunday will be the world wide broadcast and I will be singing in the choir there so look out for me! I think I'll be wearing a pink sweater.
By the way, I love the micofiber towel! It is my best friend!  Lindsey and Adam: memorize Your Purpose in Preach My Gospel and know the scripture on the cover!! Also start to learn them in Spanish. When you get in the field you will need to have the First Vision, D&C 4 and Your Purpose memorized in your language, so I reccomend memorzing them in English first before you get here.
Thank you for everything. Love you all, but I don't miss you ;)

Lieber Familie,

Everything is going really well here.  Thank you for the package!  Everyday I see multiple people I know from outside the MTC.  Surprisingly I’m doing well at only shaking hands.

So today was our first Sacrament Meeting.  Before each Sunday we are supposed to prepare a talk because the speakers are announced right after the sacrament.  And guess who was the first speaker???. . . me.  The funny thing is, I had a feeling earlier that I would be one of the speakers.  It went well I was told.  In the past 4 days I have learned to testify, pray, meet someone, prepared and gave a talk, & prepared & taught 2 lessons alles auf Deutsch!  The language is coming slowly but surely.  Sometimes it’s hard not to get discouraged, so Sister Schwantes & have  made it a goal to smile more often, especially in class when we get a little overwhelmed.  This will help us as a companionship to stay positive & more welcoming for the Spirit.

Happy Father’s Day!  I love & miss you!  Thank you for supporting me my whole life & helping me get to where I am today.  I love you!

Lindsey, be so excited for your mission!!!  It’s so awesome!

I hope everything is going well with Cade.

My companion, district, branch, leaders, & teachers are awesome!  I’ll write more later.

Love you!

Hey!

Wow!  I can’t believe the energy & excitement here!  Everyone is so happy.  It has been a little overwhelming, but again so exciting.  I have already seen many familiar faces.  My companion is Sister Schwantes.  She & the other four sisters in my dorm room are all headed to Berlin.  We’re all excited to work hard.

Mom & Dad, thank you so much for helping me get here including all of the last minute things.  I was stressed before, but as soon as I got out of the van I felt calm.  So just FYI, there were about 800 new missionaries today.  Kinda crazy, but so cool!  The closing song for the MTC welcome devotional was “Army of Helaman.”  I thought it was really cool that they changed the lyrics from “we will be the Lord’s missionaries” to “ we are now the Lord’s missionaries.”  That was kinda when it hit me.  The Spirit here is so strong.  It is unlike anything I could have imagined & there is no other place I would rather be than right here, right now.

Love you all!
